Ohrenschmaus Podcast #059 – Dubatech

Our Podcasts

Dubatech is the man behind our 59th mix in our monthly series. Fatih is a steady part of the international dub techno scene. With his „Nonagon“ tune he created a puristic masterpiece. After this release in 2009 on Baum he continued his great work and released several great dub techno tracks. All with a personal note. He really knows how to build deep and driving tracks. They all feature sublime strings and calm pads with that typical dub techno delay and reverb. Perfect for the club, but also for more intimate and calmer moments. His mix strongly bases on those qualities. He simply created a magical trip through some dub techno gems. You just can’t go wrong with Dubatech in our opinion.  Driving and deep dub sound somewhere between house and techno. We hope you enjoy the mix as much as we do. Thanks, Fatih your work is truly appreciated here. One love, Ohrenschmaus Podcast.

Ohrenschmaus Podcast #056 – Andreas Koenig

Our Podcasts

New year new heat. With podcast #056 we start into the new season with Andreas Koenig. He’s a long time friend, promoter and dj. With his Badebeats and Bergbeats collective he hosts some fabulous open airs in the Nuremberg area. On top of that he plays at Kiss Klub every now and then with his homeboys as well. Besides being a very kind person we really like a lot he also brings some serious heat to the floor with his steady grooving selections. Deeply rooted in the minimal techno and micro house fields he always plays records that simply bounce through and hook you on the grooves with no effort. With his selection for our January podcast he also offers a more melodic and experimental side in the beginning and towards the end. Thanks for your effort, the great mix and your friendship Andi. We really appreciate that, your OP.

Perfect for these sunny days or your pre-drinking session on the weekend. Make sure to check this spectacular 90 minutes, your Ohrenschmaus Podcast.

Review: Baaz – Untitled [Office09] – Office Recordings

HouseReviewsTechno

The 9th release on Office Recordings not only provides four sexy house tracks by label honcho Baaz, it also comes with a nice cover that was again designed by Super Quiet. Before Office Recordings celebrates its 10th release Baaz once again puts out some fresh music on his very own label from Berlin. Four minimalistic and yet playful tracks made it onto the record with great artwork. Just a very nice record that not just sounds good on your record player, it also looks awesome on your wall. Review: Baaz – Untitled [Office08]- Office Recordings

HouseReviewsTechno

Baaz once again offers a neat little package on his own Office Recordings Imprint. The „Untitled“ EP is the 8th release on his Berlin based house and techno label. A very enjoyable set of house cuts and ambient works came out at the end of the productional process, again he shows his fine sense for deep house. On top he added some nice ambient vibes and shows his progress when it comes to producing different genres of club music, as you can also hear on his new project which goes by the name Eric Miller with already 2 releases on the sublime Sushitech label where he takes care of dub techno and darker sounds. Michael Melchner is back in business with his π Came First EP for Madrid’s very own Colt Music label. Ohrenschmaus Podcast #024 – Paul Tiedje

Our Podcasts

We want to end this year with a podcast from a close friend. Paul Tiedje is interested in playing records since the age of 10, like ourselves he was enthusiastic about hip hop music but steadily extended his interest towards house and techno music. At the age of 15 he got his first technics, those are lend to him by his uncle. He started to visit techno clubs, meet people in and around the musical scene and of course made friends. Quickly he was given the chance to play records, he really loves the challenge to play back2back sets with friends that often play a different sound, that’s how he got introduced as a Dj. The result out of this time is his residency at Michael Melchner’s Ensemble party at Mitte Soundbar in Nuremberg, besides that he often played at Die Rakete and other events in and around Nuremberg. Since his move to Munich he was introduced as one of the new residents at the infamous Harry Klein Club. Please enjoy his definition of house and techno music. It’s a deep and melodic trip, nothing but serious records and fine mixing. Thanks for your contribution Paul, we really appreciate it!

Ohrenschmaus Podcast #023 – Barbara Preisinger

Our Podcasts

The summer is gone, the days get colder and it’s dark when you wake up and when you fall asleep as well. But the sadness only sticks around for a couple of days and at the latest when it starts to snow the smiles are back on our faces. It’s the same every year and as the four seasons do their thing regularly we keep doing what we do as well, so please say hello to podcast #023. As we already announced one of Berlins finest took over the controls, Barbara Preisinger gave us the opportunity to release a live recording from here last Deep in the Box party at Salon zur wilden Renate. It was recorded in the lovely morning hours round about 7am. In 2009 she started her well known label Slices of Life which holds on to releasing vinyl. If you take a quick look at the label description you’ll find some wise words there. Corresponding it says the produced music depicts a certain moment, feeling or status in the artists life. Therefore it would be not enough to release music for everyones hard drives, the result of many hours should be something you can hold in your hands. We really love the effort Barbara puts into her label, but of course in here Dj sets as well. We were a kind of surprised about the sound she played in this podcast, we love here deepness and driving techno sets and if you listen to the mix you can experience her funky side as well. Thanks Barbara it means a lot to us to have you in the series, the mix is really classy and that’s exactly what you are as a person.
