Ohrenschmaus Podcast #051 – Audiorität

Our Podcasts

After the great left-field, ambient and experimental trip from Maria Brant for our 50th mix we now go on with Hamburg based Audiorität. As we are regularly listening to the It Works and Deep Afterhour series, we are kind of familiar with some of his mixes already. As soon as he inboxed us it was clear we really want to work with him because of his lovely selections from the fields of house and techno that are always strongly connected with the dubby sub-genres. This mix is a perfect display for his dub influenced approach towards electronic music. Thanks for your superb selection and flawless mix, we really dig the simplicity a lot. You can download the mix as a WAV-file if you like. Thanks, your OP.

AllgemeinHouseReviewsTechno

After Office Recordings 10th release by Iron Curtis and his “Maple EP” Baaz is back on his own Imprint. Office Recordings 11th release, again, shows a very different side. The Berlin based dj and producer showed his broad musical taste throughout recent releases. Dub techno under his Eric Miller moniker. Sharp house sounds on the latest Idealistmusic. Techno on this very record we are reviewing. The sound ranges from dub techno to ambient and into playful techno. Another side added, another one which is way above average.

Review: Iron Curtis – Maple EP – Office Recordings

HouseReviewsTechno

Iron Curtis makes his return to Office Recordings from Berlin with his “Maple EP” marking the 10th release by Baaz’s imprint. After reminiscing on his “The K.M.S. Years EP”, which was the fourth release by Office Recordings, he now shows his more dubby and minimalistic side. After several releases on labels like Morris Audio, Jackoff Records, Boe Recordings, Hudd Traxx, Retreat, Polytone and his album “Soft Wide Waist Band” on Mirau, he now highlights some dub influences. While we all followed Iron’s progress from beautiful and warm house with focus on chords and strings over to melodic and emotional club music with a more synthetic and modern approach, he secretly crafted some real beauties from the fields of dub techno and ambient, that are now offered to the public as the tenth release on Office. Review: Baaz – Untitled [Office08]- Office Recordings

HouseReviewsTechno

Baaz once again offers a neat little package on his own Office Recordings Imprint. The “Untitled” EP is the 8th release on his Berlin based house and techno label. A very enjoyable set of house cuts and ambient works came out at the end of the productional process, again he shows his fine sense for deep house. On top he added some nice ambient vibes and shows his progress when it comes to producing different genres of club music, as you can also hear on his new project which goes by the name Eric Miller with already 2 releases on the sublime Sushitech label where he takes care of dub techno and darker sounds. Trux - Trux - Office Recordings

Review: Trux – Trux – Office Recordings

HouseReviewsTechno

Office Recordings’ 7th release came out a couple of days ago, displaying a brand new style of contemporary music. With catalogue nr. 7 by Baaz’s very own Berlin based imprint it’s not about club playtime, this release is for connoisseurs of experimental and left field house music and ambient fans. The producer behind this project Trux remains a mystery, no information can be found. The self titled Trux release comes as a kind of mini LP with eight tracks, four on the a-side and four on the b-side. A nice mix between obscure house and free floating ambient add a whole new sound idea to the label’s earlier releases. Again the artwork keeps up with the music in terms of quality, created by the highly talented Super Quiet. Keep reading

Ohrenschmaus Podcast #008 – Baaz

Our Podcasts

We go on as time goes on. After 7 great mixes here comes number 8, we welcome Baaz on board. The Berlin based producer has made himself a name so far, after releasing his first vinyl on Agnès’ imprint Sthlmaudio he moved on with releasing his third record on Elevate which was founded by Daniel Bell. Now after releases on Minuende Recordings, Quintessentials and Slices of Life he launched his own label which is called Office Recordings. You should keep your eyes open for this one, he already released 2 quality EPs and there is still more to come. Besides his outstanding productions he is also known as a great DJ as you can hear in the mix. He gets deeper and deeper without losing the vibe and groove. We are more than happy with his podcast, please enjoy it as much as we do. This one has the flavor we all need nowadays!
